2. What this is about, briefly

Privacy sounds dry? Not here. I take the protection of your data as seriously as a gardener takes their finest tree. And because I want nine billion people to feel comfortable here, there are clear rules.

In brief:

• I collect data only when it is genuinely necessary.
• I do not sell it, give it away or exchange it—unless you expressly want me to.
• Your data is treated as if it were my own.

3. Which data is collected, and why

When you visit the website

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Date and time of access
• Referrer URL, meaning where you came from

Why? So the website works at all, stays secure, and because hackers unfortunately do not take holidays.

When you contact me by email, telephone or WhatsApp

If you write or call, I store:

• Your email address or telephone number
• Your name, if you provide it
• The content of your message

Why? Because otherwise I could not answer.

When you use special offers such as courses or the newsletter

If you later book courses, download PDFs or subscribe to my newsletter:

• Name
• Email address
• Payment information, only as far as necessary for processing through Stripe, PayPal, WooCommerce or other partners

Why? Because I want to deliver what you order. No more and no less.

4. Cookies

Yes, this site uses cookies. Not chocolate cookies, but small pieces of data stored by your browser.

Purposes of cookies:

• Making the website faster
• Displaying content better
• Analysing user behaviour so I can find out what really interests you

Cookies that may appear here:

• Essential cookies, required for operation
• Analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics or Matomo at some point later
• Marketing cookies if I advertise, for example through YouTube, Google Ads or social media

You can of course reject or delete cookies. Your browser knows how. If it does not, ask it politely.

5. Analytics tools and advertising

Later, when we take on the nine billion, the following tools might be used:

• Google Analytics, for website analysis
• Facebook Pixel, for advertising on Meta platforms
• YouTube Analytics, for video optimisation
• TikTok Ads, for creative reach
• LinkedIn Insights, for business contacts
• Newsletter tools such as Mailchimp or Brevo

These tools help us understand better what moves people—anonymised or pseudonymised wherever possible. Your identity is protected, I promise.

6. Storage and disclosure

Data is stored only for as long as necessary, only on secure servers such as those of German or EU-certified providers, and only by me or carefully vetted partners.

Disclosure to third parties takes place only if:

• you expressly want it;
• the law requires it; or
• a service provider such as Stripe is needed for processing.

No data is passed to shady characters. You have my word.

7. Your rights and how to use them

You have the right to:

• request information about your stored data;
• request correction or deletion;
• request restriction of processing;
• request data portability; and
• object, for example to analytics tools.

How? Simply email info@francis-tonleu.org with the subject “I want to see my data!” or something equally charming.

My website may contain links to other websites. I am not responsible for their privacy practices, just as I am not responsible for the weather.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

As my website develops—which it will, because we want to reach nine billion—this policy will also be updated.

Effective date: 28 April 2025. Changes will be announced on the website. For major changes, there will be a friendly email notice if you are registered.

10. One final word

This is about more than paragraphs of law. It is about respect. Your data is part of your freedom, and I will guard it like my greatest treasure. Real change is built on trust, and nine billion voices can come together only when every individual counts.
